“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’”
Jesus Christ as recorded in Matthew 25:35–36
In today's war torn Ukraine; a outcome of genocide and scorched earth policies of the barbaric Russian leader, one could read Matthew in this way.
"For I was displaced and you gave me shelter, I was hungry and you gave me food, I had no friends and you welcomed me, I only had what was on my back and you clothed me, I was without hope and you gave me a reason to live, I was a refugee and you loved me as your own.’”
